What services do we offer?
We provide a wide variety of services.
Medical:
We are equipped to handle the most frequently occurring medical disorders. This includes infectious diseases, dental disease, cancer/neoplasia, dermatologic (skin) disease, trauma, renal (kidney) disease, cardiac (heart) disease, ophthalmic (eye) disease, diseases of the reproductive system, diseases of the urinary system, endocrine disease, pediatric disease, geriatric disease, nutritional counseling, behavior counseling, and a wide variety of other common medical problems. In those cases which require specialized equipment or specialty skills, we are able to refer your pet to specialists for state-of-the-art care in almost any field of medicine.
Surgical:
We are equipped to provide a wide variety of surgical care for your pets encompassing minor surgery, routine spay and neutering surgery, and major surgery of both soft tissues and bone. In those cases in which your surgical needs are best met by a specialist, we have a good working relationship with a few excellent Surgical specialty practices which can provide state-of-the-art surgery.
Radiology:
We are equipped to take and interpret digital radiographs in our clinic. We have a working relationship with a group of Veterinary Radiologists and have them review and provide reports on the radiographs we take. We usually have their comprehensive report within 24 hours. We do some special techniques at our hospital such as contrast gastrointestinal films, excretory renal films, and contrast films of the lower urinary tract. When full-motion fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CAT, or other special studies are required we can offer referral to radiology specialists. We have a working relationship with a Veterinary Ultrasonographer who comes to our practice to do abdominal and thoracic radiographs on an appointment basis.
Laboratory:
We have a comprehensive in-hospital laboratory. We have the capability in-house to perform Snap tests for Feline Leukemia, FIV, Parvovirus, Leptospirosis, Heartworm disease, Lyme disease, and Ehrlichia. We also are equipped to do blood chemistry tests, tests of thyroid function, heart enzymes, liver function, pancreatic function, and tests of adrenal function in-house. We have the capability to do fungal cultures, fecal tests for intestinal worm parasites, and fecal testing for Giardia in-house. More specialized laboratory tests are sent to a veterinary reference laboratory which can provide us with results for most tests within 12 hours.
Preventive medicine:
We offer comprehensive preventive medicine services including vaccination, pediatric well pet examinations, physical examinations for middle age pets, geriatric examinations, parasite prevention, insect prevention, and behavioral counseling.
Pharmacy:
We have a well-stocked veterinary pharmacy. We are able to provide the medication for most of the pets we treat. Occasionally we have the need to dispense medications that are not frequently dispensed. In these limited cases, we can write a prescription your medication.
What are our hours?
We are open from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday. We are closed on Sunday and Monday.
We do work on an appointment basis, however, if you have an emergency we are able to adjust our schedule to provide urgent care for your pet. Please call before coming to the hospital if at all possible. We are able to care for hospitalized animals during the hours we are not open to the public. In those instances where a patient requires intensive 24-hour monitoring, we work with the Solano Pet Emergency Clinic and the SAGE Emergency and Specialty practice to provide 24-hour care between the two practices.
